Orthopedic injectables are gel-like injectable made up of hyaluronic acid, used to treat joint pain caused by inflammation. The products especially target the joints in the knee, clearing up the pain caused by the bones rubbing together. It can also be used in the conservative treatment of the meniscal lesion in the same area as well as for improving joint mobility, as it has enhanced synovial fluid viscoelasticity. Injectables are also known as viscosupplements, or chicken shots.
