Another product that this pharmaceutical giant is responsible for is Depo-Provera, a contraceptive. This solution works by preventing ovulation, ergo the releasing of the egg from the ovary. If for some reason the egg is still fertilized, the injection also makes it hard for the sperm to fertilize and even reach the egg, make it more effective. It is injected usually into the buttocks or the arm, and it must be repeated every 12-14 weeks for continued effectivity.
