Novartis International AG is a Swiss Multinational pharma corporation which is based in Switzerland. Being one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world, it serves patients and provides them with solutions and treatments worldwide. The companies Ciba-Geigy and Sandoz merged in 1996 to create Novartis, more specifically the agrochemical and pharmaceutical divisions of both parties formed it as an independent entity. The other parts of their business were either sold, or also spun off as independent companies.   

One of their products is Zaditen. It has the generic name of ketotifen, which is an anti-inflammatory drug. This medication works by blocking the body’s allergic response, and because of this, the inflammation felt by patients in their eyes is greatly reduced. This is also handy as sometimes symptoms like itchiness can manifest, wherein not only is it disruptive to normal day-to-day activities, but it can lead to further symptoms and more discomfort. It comes in eye drop form, and is easily applied by patients, and can be used until the symptoms wane.
