AbbVie is a biopharmaceutical company that was founded fairly recently in 2013. It started as a spin-off of Abbot Laboratories, and now both companies are publicly traded. This was so the markets were allowed to give separate value to the two companies, according to their CEO at the time. The company employed around 28,000 all over the world, and they provide their products to over 170 countries.   

One of their products is Humira, and it accounts for around half of the drug division’s revenue. It is used to treat rheumatoid arthritis among other things, and it was first released back in 2003. Since then, the drug has helped millions of patients all over to combat the symptoms of various kinds of arthritis, and has shown impressive efficacy numbers in tests and real-life cases.
