F. Hoffmann-La Roche AG is a Swiss multinational healthcare company which has a worldwide operational presence consisting of 2 divisions, namely pharma and diagnostics. The group also has a holding company named Roche Holding AG, and has bearer shares listed on the Swiss exchange. Headquartered in Basel, Roche is widely known as the largest pharmaceutical company in the world, and is also the leading provider of cancer treatments on the globe. It was found in 1896 by Fritz Hoffman-La Roche, which was then producing various vitamin preparations and derivatives.   

One of the many products that they market is MabThera. Although Genentech and Biogen market the solution in the US, and Chugai and Zenyaku Kogyo market it in Japan, Roche Pharma markets it in the rest of the world. It is a solution formulated for some types of leukemia, lymphoma, and other blood cancers and it significantly helps patients stave off symptoms far longer than when patients use chemotherapy alone. MabThera is said to provide 6 months of less symptoms from a single course, or two infusions given two weeks apart.
